GIRLS ON THE RUN FALL 2015

Girls on the Run is coming to Adams Elementary this fall for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade girls.  Come run, walk, skip and jump with us.  Girls on the Run empowers young girls through running and other physical activities.  It's a non-competitive program that combines physical activity with lessons that are important to girls in these grades.  Through interactive activities including walking, running, playing games and discussing important issues, girls learn how to celebrate who they are.  At the end of the season all girls are encouraged to complete a community 5K run/walk event.

Online registration will be available in August at www.gotrtreasurevalley.org. The fall season starts in late August and goes through early November.  The program will meet twice a week after school for one hour and 15 minutes and is limited to 20 girls per team.  Each team has 3 volunteer coaches.  For information on how to register or volunteer, visit the website, email director Melissa Bixby at  Melissa.bixby@girlsontherun.org or call 208-388-4687

Parents, Teachers, School Employees and Volunteers: we’re always eager to find additional Running Buddies, Coaches or Assistant Coaches!  Please let us know if you’re interested or have any questions via the contact info above.
